Roman Willi is an award-winning wildlife photographer and filmmaker who has received recognition for his work from the National History Museum in the Wildlife Photographer of the year photo competition. Based in Lucerne, Switzerland, Roman travels the world capturing unique images of different ecosystems revealing their mysteries. He specializes in macro photography with his main focus being the unveiling of misconceived invertebrates.
Ethical photography is key to Roman, being sure to only capture images in-situ with minimal disturbance to wildlife and their habitats. His multimedial platform endless fields is a showcase for his content on wildlife and the surrounding ecosystems. His focus is to photograph rare behaviors of wildlife raising awareness for conversation. He has photographed numerous previously unknown species and has documented the importance of conserving the Osa Peninsula through film. Roman has given so much to helping bring awareness to the BioSur Foundation’s conservation efforts.
